On Monday, October 24, 2022, the Miovision Data Services team published its one millionth traffic data study. A significant milestone for Miovision, the publication of this landmark study represents the tenacious and persistent efforts of Miovision and the commitment to provide consistent and more accurate data collection.
Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc. (GHA), a traffic engineering firm based in Illinois and one of Miovision’s most long-standing customers, had the honor of creating and uploading Study ID 1000000. When asked to share a little background on why they started with Miovision and what this milestone meant to them, GHA’s President & CEO, Arthur J. Penn, P.E. stated;
GHA began working with Miovision in 2011. Having a reliable and cost-effective method for capturing intersection data opens many doors for us in terms of what we could offer our clients. Our capacity for collecting intersection data multiplied 100x almost overnight. GHA completes more than 500 traffic data collection projects each year, primarily in the Midwest. When Pat Oster noticed that he had uploaded study number 1,000,000, it immediately made his day!
The Miovision Data Services Team publishes over 50 000 study hours per week during peak seasons, processing traffic studies created by more than 1500 customers in 63 countries. Each study is rooted in the deep relationships we create with our customers, their projects and their triumphs. The millionth study is not only a symbol of years of cooperation with Gewalt Hamilton Associates, Inc., but also of hard work and teamwork.
The publication of this study coincides closely with the release of Miovision Scout Explore, the next-generation traffic data collection solution that provides traffic teams with video-based data collection and innovative AI capabilities.
