Miovision kicked off 2026 at CES and TRB, showcasing Intelligent Mobility traffic solutions. From the Miovision One platform to the TomTom partnership and HARMAN V2N integration, our data-driven solutions are revolutionizing traffic signal optimization, urban mobility, and global road safety.
January is always a whirlwind in the transportation industry, but for Miovision, this past month was truly transformative.
As we continue our mission to build data-driven cities that solve real-world traffic challenges, our presence at two of the world’s most influential conferences, CES and the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting, highlighted how data-driven technology is redefining urban mobility.
From groundbreaking partnerships to award-winning safety systems, here’s a recap of how Miovision kicked off 2026.
CES 2026: Making Infrastructure “Ready” for the Future
While CES is often associated with the latest consumer gadgets, it has increasingly become the premier stage for the future of mobility. This year in Las Vegas, Miovision shifted the conversation from the vehicles themselves to the critical infrastructure that supports them.
The HARMAN Partnership and V2N Innovation
A highlight of Miovision’s CES exhibit was the demonstration of HARMAN Ready Aware, a new vehicle-to-network (V2N)-based SaaS solution that delivers contextual in-vehicle digital alerts to occupants about road and traffic conditions.
The system’s contextual and intelligent alerts, including time-to-green notifications and red-light assist features, will help drivers navigate intersections more safely.
Industry Validation from 5GAA
We were also honored to host the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) at our booth. Their visit underscored the importance of our platform-based approach to V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) technology.
Our VP of V2X Sales, Thomas Bauer, engaged in a few media interviews, emphasizing that Miovision now offers one of the most connected infrastructure ecosystems in the market today. As noted by Tech Times, our focus on real-world deployment rather than speculative concepts sets us apart in the smart city landscape.
TRB 2026: A Partnership for Global Impact
Immediately following CES, the team headed to Washington, D.C., for the 105th TRB Annual Meeting. If CES was about the technology of tomorrow, TRB was about the data and research that make it possible today.
The TomTom Partnership
The biggest news out of the show was our landmark partnership with TomTom.
As part of the expanded partnership, Miovision will extend TomTom probe data to all Miovision One users, expanding intersection coverage to 300,000+ globally from hundreds of millions of mobile endpoints. Miovision will also distribute TomTom Traffic Analytics products to public sector clients, adding congestion heat maps, corridor and highway analytics, and more.
This new cloud data layer will complement Miovision’s network of connected intersections, vehicles, GPS endpoints, cameras, sensors, and mobile traffic study tools to help agencies identify issues and prioritize investment.
A key component is the Miovision GenAI traffic agent, enabling teams to gain insights and recommendations from TomTom data and connected infrastructure through a single conversational interface in Miovision One, accelerating traffic pattern analysis.
Integrating these capabilities into Miovision One, where users can review live or recorded feeds, apply computer vision analysis, and implement changes remotely, will help municipalities optimize signal timing, reduce delays, and improve road safety.
Research and Recognition
Beyond the exhibit hall, Miovision’s technical expertise was on full display:
- Joseph Zhou’s Poster Session: Miovision team member Joseph Zhou–Technical Lead, Adaptive Signal–led a highly successful poster session on high-low-fidelity dual traffic modeling. This research, conducted in collaboration with Toyota and the U.S. Department of Energy, is vital for developing automated vehicle systems that can adapt to real-world traffic scenarios.
- The Miovision Reception: We hosted a lively reception that brought together policymakers, engineers, and partners to celebrate our collective progress toward Vision Zero, the goal of eliminating roadway fatalities.
- TRB 2027: The momentum was so high that we’ve already booked our spot for TRB 2027, ensuring we remain at the heart of the industry conversation.
In the News: A Press Roundup
Our January updates caught the attention of major global outlets, helping profile Miovision’s innovations across a wide range of media. Notable features appeared in:
- BetaKit and The Globe and Mail, which detailed the strategic importance of our TomTom partnership for Canadian tech leadership.
- Business Insider and Tech Times, highlighting our “infrastructure-first” approach to autonomous driving.
- Digital Journal, Washington City Paper, and Times of San Diego, showcasing how local municipalities are using Miovision One to improve daily commutes.
Looking Ahead: The Miovision One Era
As we move further into 2026, you’ll notice a shift in how we talk about our solutions.
We are currently repositioning our offerings as Mio One applications. Whether it’s Mobility Reports (formerly Continuous Counts) or Performance (encompassing TrafficLink and ATSPMs), everything is coming together under the Miovision One platform to simplify data collection and analysis for our clients.
Our January success stories at CES and TRB prove that when we arm transportation professionals with the right data, we don’t just move traffic, we move communities forward.
Let’s Move.
