Goose Creek Fire Department in South Carolina has recently implemented Miovision Opticom’s Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) solution with Transportation Control Systems. We’re excited to work together to make emergency response faster, and safer for the Goose Creek community.
Creating a Safer Goose Creek
Goose Creek’s Fire Department’s mission commits them to providing the city with life saving and property protection services. This dedication is why they have chosen to invest in Opticom EVP: they can reach citizens quicker, and safer, by reducing the chances of any collisions en route and clearing the roads for speedy response.
The reality is that when seconds matter, every delay can impact outcomes. Congestions cause delays, and needing to drive through reds increases collision risks, putting the public and responders at risk. Implementing Opticom EVP proactively addresses these critical challenges.
Giving responders the green light
Miovision Opticom EVP clears the path by giving first responders the green light when they need it most. It uses reliable communication between the emergency vehicle and the traffic signal to secure a green light, which minimizes delays and cuts the risk of intersection collisions.
For Goose Creek, this modern, cloud-deployed solution connects over 20 emergency vehicles to more than 30 key intersections. It will improve the flow of emergency vehicles, leading directly to better, life-saving outcomes.
We are excited to see the positive impact this deployment will have, knowing that Opticom EVP empowers the Fire Department to serve their citizens better.
Goose Creek citizens can be reassured that their Fire Department has invested in this technology as part of their ongoing effort to maintain a safe and secure environment for everyone.
